Welcome Back Portland. Blazers Bite Raptors. 102-89
For three quarters, the Blazers looked exactly like the team that has been laying eggs over the past couple of weeks, and then the fourth quarter happened. If we can see the effort on Tuesday night that we saw from Portland in the fourth quarter, they should put up quite the fight against the defending Champion, Boston Celtics.
Quick Recap:
Slow play, bad shooting, and weak defense plagued the Blazers for most of this game. Teams are finally starting to expose many of Portland's weaknesses, but luckily for Blazer fans, Brandon Roy makes those disappear really quickly. 18 points in the fourth quarter easily put the Raptors on their heels and they were never able to figure out an answer. Portland finally rebounded down the stretch and fortunately for them, the Raptors went ice cold from the floor.
Game thoughts in fantastical bulleted format:
- Very nice game tonight from Oden. He definitely found a rhythm.
- Maybe Canzano's article lit a little fire?
- The team owes another big thanks to its All-Star guard.
- LaMarcus still let Bosh dominate him at will.
- 5 of 13 from the field Travis? Please stop shooting.
- Batum deserves more minutes.
- Quick predicted a Bayless sighting and we were left hanging. Maybe soon.
- Kapono going scoreless is something you won't see often.
- Calderon -21? Haha.
- Time for Tuesday.
